The Fidentis project started in early 2012 under a headline of the Fidentis research group at Masaryk University, Czech Republic. The Fidentis research group is a collaborative project of experts from various scientific fields (anthropology, biostatistics, computer sciences) aimed at developing guidelines for comparing human faces for the purposes of personal identification and face recognition in forensics. Since then, its interests has advanced beyond the scope of forensic identification and entered areas of clinical, biomedical and social fields.
